EXPERIENCE IN DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DEI)

MHWA has been providing services in diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility since 2019. A small, Baltimore-based company, MHWA has provided services to multiple non-profits, arts organizations, schools, and faith communities. One of MHWA’s most recent projects was the development of an accessibility training program for the Baltimore hospitality industry for the nonprofit Visit Baltimore. The training consisted of two instructional guides developed by MHWA, as well as a training webinar. MHWA has worked with the nonprofit foundation for the Baltimore School for the Arts in providing DEI initiatives including training and materials for the school’s arts and academic staff, consultations and coaching with arts teachers, and DEI based community building for students. This work centered communities of color and the gender-expansive community. MHWA provides ongoing teacher training in antiracist classroom practices and strategies for inclusion of students of color at Hampstead Hill Academy, Baltimore City’s premier public charter school.

MHWA’s approach to the work focuses on developing a comprehensive picture of the DEI-based strengths and challenges of the organizations we serve, upon which we build customized action plans and coaching services to meet the goals outlined by the action plan. We pride ourselves on our dedication to our clients and the communities they serve.
